You aren't giving us much to go on here. Is it running 3.3ghz with one core or all four? With one, that is normal. If it is with four and you aren't running ThrottleStop then you definitely have something weird going on.

It's running on all four cores. I just downloaded Throttlestop. Whats the default TPL and TRL for the 940x?

Honestly I can't remember, but I believe it is around 70w. When you say it's running on all four cores, is that fully loaded? Or each core at some small percentage?

    Let me get something straight.

    1. Does 52.5 degrees celsius sound like a good idle temperature just surfing the web?

    2. It seems like my computer starts throttling and the CPU gets to like 82 degrees celsius when I'm in Orgrimmar in WoW. Does this sound normal? It never used to do that before the latest patch.

    3. When you disable Throttlestop, the computer goes back to its defaults, or is it written into the BIOS?

Didn't even think to check there, but great link. So the answer is 55w. As for what I mean regarding full load, how are checking your processor to determine if it using one core or four cores?

Using E-Leet Tuning utility and it says there are 4 cores present >.< I don't know if that means it's running off that many or that there are that many. I'm not very savvy when it comes to these things.

That is simply telling you the capability of the processor, but nothing about what you may currently be doing. Download HWINFO32 and run it in sensor mode. Keep it in the background as you run WOW and when you exit you can see the maximum values of your system. This will help you determine if anything is abnormal. My opinion of your system thus far is that it is running fine.

Okay I guess I shouldn't worry so much then. I was under the impression that if the CPU went above 85 degrees celsius, it would brick.

Your fine. The T-Junction is 100C at which point the processor will throttle itself back for protection.
