I did some mild upgrades to my laptop and installed a MSATA drive as cache and during the process of removing the palm rest assembly, I tore out the leads in a connector that was labled MB and according to the tear down manual it was part of the webcam.
I need someone to point me in the right direction on where to find this part online, so i can replace.

Can't be a webcam ribbon cable....the only two ribbon cables that I can think of that you would have to remove to remove the palm rest should have been the keyboard and the track pad? The only cable that runs for the webcam is the video cable that runs from the webcam down the back of the LCD and then onto the main board and connects onto 2 ports , one being the video out and I assume the other being a power connection. As such I don't think you severed a web cam cable or your LCD probably wouldn't be working. It is also a to find that cable so you really don't want to have to replace that one....
Can you take a picture of the cable? or is it back together? -
huh...I don't even remember that cable. Is your laptop 3d enabled? if it is you need part number N392W and it is a really pain to find for less the $100
If it isn't 3D then it should be FNH0H and is much easier to find, again on Ebay. -
Non 3d.
Thank you.

Why would you remove that particular cable? It shouldn't have been needed to install an mSATA

The manual in the teardown said it needed to remove the lcd as pre-requisite. before removing the palm rest.
