In the attachment is an ICC file with colour tables for more accurate colour reproduction on the 3D display only. Model: SEC5044

To install this, simply unzip it somewhere, double click it. Nothing with happen but it has.

Click on Start, type "color" (American spelling without a U) into the search and select "Color Management".

Make sure your display device ie the GTX 660m, GTX 675m or GTX 680m is selected, select add and you should be able to find profile installed and ready to be used.

Add it and then click on Set as Default Profile. Then click Profiles which will bring a drop down and select "Combine my..."

There you go. It should be much warmer and less blue which more laptop panels suffer from.

There will be another thread on audio optimization coming soon.

Hi, tried this but as soon as I get to 'set as default' the screen goes almost completely greyscale. Combining makes no difference - have I done something wrong? Thanks

Use the devices section to set the profile and don't change system default.

Tried it out, couldn't see a noticeable change but maybe I did something wrong.

Nah, I gave up. Every time I set it to default it looses almost all colour and combining makes no difference. I have to 'reset to system
defaults to get it back. Tried removing and re-downloading, carefully following the steps, but the same.
Not a biggie though, just thought that it might be an improvement although it is OK for my eyes as-is :).

Remove the ICC profile from the advanced tab and set sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as Windows Color System Default, uncheck use Windows Display Calibration now install the ICC profile within the Devices Tab
Testing with firefox LCD monitor test images
For gaming use Digital vibrance in Nvida CP. start from the 50 default.
    Hope it helps.

    Thanks.

No joy though. The strange thing is that 'windows display calibration' is checked and greyed out. I'm thinking I might have clicked on that some time ago and is now messing it up. Never mind, I was just interested in seeing if there was an improvement.

If those are Spyder profiles you can set them as system defaults, just uncheck use Windows calibration you need the software to use that setting.
Now there is no need to repeat the process each time a new graphic driver is installed.
For gaming as I said before use Digital Vibrance in Nvidia CP. that will make colors look more intense.

Thanks Widezu, a calibration profile for new M4's is a nice sentiment, especially as my own color profiler is in storage somewhere. A default warmer profile does help, BUT, as an imaging professional for over 15 years, I have to alarm that any LED / TFT display will need regular recalibrations to stay in line. A recalibration every month is about right for critical applications, especially after about a year of use. The displays do lose luminance with time.
