Run PRIME95...8 threads mixed test for 15 mins and monitor with HWINFO64.

    What are your temps like?

    ya...like bigtony said.

download and run PRIME95 8 thread test

Then monitor your temps. Your cpu will be completely maxxed 100% so your temps will really be hot if you have a problem

O, ok. I went to the download site and I could not download it. I tried it with a couple of different browers, and even my desktop, but the link seems dead to me. I'll try the download a little later to see if i can get it. And i saw this laptop cooler so i can keep it coo', and the airflow confuses me. ::: Zalman, leading the world of Quiet Computing Solutions ::: The laptop blows the air out, and the cooler blows air in? Don't laugh @ my stupidity, but could you explain it to me? O, and I use Speccy for my temps, is that ok?

Well the laptop blows air out from the backside vents and sucks air in from the bottom vents.

So if the cooler blows air into the bottom vents it will compliment the cooling . However if the cooler fans also suck in air then it will worsen the cooling.

Ok, I found out how to do what you said, and the highest temps reached were 87 C. Is that bad?

So you ran prime95 8 worker threads and your highest cpu temp is 87c?

That isn't terrible for the stock paste, but its a little high for my comfort level. Your CPu will shutdown at 100c

Just to compare with my temps after repasting with Prolimatech PK-1...these are the MAX temps of my i7 2820 at 17 minutes of prime95 8-worker mixed test (72c-73c-72c-71c):
