This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi guys...i needed to know if

    you recieved any of the media kits (aka CD's for Mcafee, roxio,cyberlink the fastaccess cam and stuff (in the 6970 batch)

    is there any thing you can say or do to get the software downloaded IF it isn't included....crikey at the price we are expected to pay for this...it might as well be.....included...despite its all that starter stuf.....i mean if i intend to break the RAID/and or do a clean install what happens to my software...how do i recover......

    You dont get all that stuff.

    PowerDVD 11 can be downloaded at the "bay"
    Webcam driver is automaticly installed with by Windows update.
    Mc afee sucks, use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.
    Roxio is to basic, latest Nero can be found at the "bay"

    i agree...but....

    i paid for the licences..i should be getting the media with it at least
    why risk d'l'ding anything from the bay (cuz of all the big bro.watching and all)
    i agree 100 times infinity about the Mcafee stuff...but since i was forced to pay for it...why not use it......i know about MSE.....works extremely well, with a minimal footprint...have it on my 7Ultimate DV5t and the AOD150
