I downloaded Windows Movie Maker to test the camera out, but I see no option to record anything.
Haven't touched the camera since I got the laptop, the drivers that are installed are generic Microsoft drivers.

So yeah how do I make a movie or use the camera to start with?
No ! in device manager the camera is working as intended, though unlike the BD drive it doesn't have any icon that I can start the camera.

Is there an actual driver or program for it as I didn't find any on Dell's website.

Did you make sure the camera was on? Try hitting FN+F9 and see if that helps :)

Difficult to notice if it's on or not, OSD doesn't say anything.
No led light up to show it's on, WMM doesn't have ''capture from other device'' thing.

Rather not install unnecessary programs to find out, Fraps makes movies just fine.
But I wonder why the camera isn't assigned or have it's own letter like the BD.

    +1 :p

The camera comes off by default, you have to activate it using the hotkey [Fn]+[F9] as big tony says

Got it to work, with the latest WMM.
Case closed, it's a bit dark to record anything even with the lights on.
