So I have a nVidia GeForce GTX 260M and im wondering if its possible to only turn on a single graphic card cause its a dual graphics card. The reason is because Dual graphic cards are really loud (fan) and some games dont need both the graphic cards but are too much for the crappy integrated graphic card. Right now I can only set between Integrated graphics and Hybrid SLI.

    Thanks

Yes there should be a setting in Nvidia control panel to turn off SLI.

Why would you want to turn a GPU off? The fan is loud? Constantly?

besides, turning one card off wont switch off also the relative fan. If cpu, gpu1 or gpu2 trigger the fan on high, usually all of them will spin up

you're doing it *WRONG* lol turn the sound up, or get some ear plugs.
on a serious note, why not sure if there's any programs out there to control fans but maybe look into that? its probably a longshot though.

honestly, fans are good. if you can hear the fan, it means its working still. if you cant hear the fan, and your legs are getting burned off.. then you have REAL problems :p

HWInfo32 now has fan control. In the sensor window there's a little fan icon at the bottom. You can control what temperature they come on at, and what speed they run.
