yeap bios, vbios, drivers, you name it :) and i followed the "clean" procedures of installing the drivers of the GPU (i.e. removing all the traces of the old drivers before installing the new ones)

I dont have problem with performance, games run very smoothly, .. untill they freeze or crash that it is, problem is with stability

well, it does look that it's coming from the video card driver and if you say you're all up to date (latest drivers + vbios) i can only suggest a full windows reinstall and if that doesn't help you got yourself PITA cards and you should call dell.
btw, have you experienced it since the beginning or had it started happening lately ?

have you upgraded your ram aftermarket?

i have the exact same type of crash on my m17 everything run smooth but if i let the machine idle i get a crash and the dump is identical to the one you have

it was from the first game i played (Civ 5) some people said its buggy, so i tried more games, and all games i have played till now crashed atleast once, NFS hot pursuit freezed few times, i have to alt+ctrl+delete and then it comes back.

interestingly, i never encountered a problem / crash / freeze during normal windows 7 (Have home premium) not even while watching movies, youtube, ... etc.

everything is fine except when it comes to gaming, any game I play have to crash at some time, might be 10 mins, sometimes two hours.

could it really be a hardware problem? what is PITA?

    thanx

no, the RAM is Dell's stock, if that is what you mean, you managed to solve your problem?

PITA = Pain In The Axx :)
i meant that the video cards must be faulty, if you are under warranty i'd give dell a call and let them sort it out.
They will probably want to replace your video cards and possible the mobo

Are you encountering crashes / freezes in games? if you game alot? what games if so

    ahaa, Lol!
hmmm ... dell support here arent the greatest (go figure, Lol) i even doubt that they are skilled enough to replace my GPU (if they even have stock) i will put this as my last resort.

i will go for a clean windows install this weekend, hopefully it will be sorted out.

btw since you ordered outside of your current country (like i did), how did your local Dell support handeled it? you just gave them the service tag number and they gave you support or you have to do the whole "transfer warranty" thing?

    cheers

In my country they didnt require me to transfer the warranty to get service. I guess it changes from place to place. I was really surprised to discover that they stock replacement parts and the techs that came were quite good.

Hmm that is promising, will give them a call after trying a fresh install if things didn't work out and see how it goes.
    Thanx for the help :)
