Hi guys, actually i have TrueLife with 120Hz, i wanna use an external monitor with same performace (120Hz).
1. If i connect by DisplayPort works in 1920*1080 120Hz but i have Nvidia issue for RGB color and can't fix?
2. If i connect by HDMI, i can fix Nvidia issue, but i can't go with 120Hz cause i don't know if my Aw71 has HDMI 1.4b or more?
Is it correct? Can you suggest me the best connection type for using a 120Hz monitor with my Aw17 R1?

Pre-2.0 HDMI does not support frame rates higher than 60FPS. HDMI 1.3 expanded the bandwidth for higher resolution, but 60FPS was determined to be a sufficient limit. HDMI 2.0 has been said to support higher frame rates and the available bandwidth would seem to suggest that is true, but the official specification is 4k@50/60Hz. I don't know about correcting color over DisplayPort, but for higher frame rates that's what you'll have to use.
Most human eyes cannot distinguish much higher than 60FPS, so it's kinda pointless. That being said, I remember having a CRT that supported 1024x768 @ 85Hz, and I preferred using that refresh rate as it was much easier on the eyes than 60. But, that's also the difference in the light source. The 60Hz flicker can be irritating to some people, and I am one of them. But, I have never ever had issues with LCD/LED displays, as cold cathode and LED light sources do not flicker.Alienware-Wasserman likes this. -

If the TruLife supports a 3D image you can even have some video cards perform a 3D picture.
I hope you find this information useful.Flaick likes this.
