    Just wondering if i can use the sli cabe that i already have on my machine (gtx 285m sli m17x r1) with two 5870m cards in CF since the crossfire cable is very hard to find on ebay or any other web site.

    thank you for your offer but the cable has a different shape thus it wont fit an m17x r1 or r2

    No you can't use, the connectors are different, I have a M17x R1/R2 CF cable for sale, as well as 5870M's if you are still looking.
