Can the 120 hz screen from the nvidia model be fitted in place of the 60hz if I get 6970? Only makes sense that if I have a more powerful card 120hz will be able to strut it's stuff.

Someone from nvidia actually posted in the 3D/optimus thread and explained that there are hardware issue not bios or software that made using intel gpu not available, from what i did read it seems there is some kind of hardware linking that cause the issue so ati cards might not work with the 3D version since the 3D version is designed around nvidia card? not sure though

I mean I don't care about 3d at all. I just would want faster refresh rate. I know on desktop you upgrade monitor and gpu will then give an option to choose refresh rate. Different for a notebook ?

I am thinking if I buy one for my son with 469/120hz I can take his screen and switch with the 60hz. Son tried 3d doesn't care for it.
