    It will work, but it's not ideal. The revised 580M heatsink, backplate, pads and GPU paste are sold as a kit (Dell Part No. V1K2G) for $24.99 + s/h. It's a good investment. If you decide to use the 460M heatsink, you will need to remove all of the black thermal tape from the bottom of the HS so that there is nothing but exposed copper; the opening designed for the 460M is too small for the 580M and will prevent full direct heatsink coverage of the 580M die, resulting in higher temperatures. Even with that mod, the 460M heatsink will not provide the same level of cooling as the 580M heatsink.
