I got a nearly 2 months delay for my m14x, so I canceled it. I only wish the m15x came out with an r2, but I think now I'm going to get the m17x.

I was considering the m18x, but it's probably out of my price range, not to mention the size is going to be far too ridiculous.

So I'm going to go with everything stock except I'll include the 1.5GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M, and 17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 120Hz WLED w/3D Bundle.

The 3d screen should offer a better viewing quality right? Also, will the 2630QM be a worthy partner for the GTX460M? Lastly, should I just get the ATI option as it's cheaper, and buy a 6970m individually?

Also, other recommendations on this purchase would be very welcome. I'm interested about the xbox deals, and other exclusive knowledge that can possibly help me get the most out of my money.

    Thanks very much :D

Depends on how much you REALLY want 3d. I'm not a fan on 3d, gives me headaches and whatnot so until you've tried it out and know EXACTLY what you want, then go for the 3d. I'd rather have the 6970m w/ 1080p since 3d is not a big deal for me.

Okay I'm a little jerk. Since I'm going for the m17x, which is big as hell, I may as well take it all the way and go m18x

    I mean...come on...Crossfire. *wetpants*

its not really necessary, unless money is not an issue. Some people love crossfire, some hate it, but it can get in the way sometimes.

Do you really see the extra 5-10 frames per second increase? If you do /golfclap. Do you enjoy screens that are dim ? On fully brightness the 6970 panel is the same as a3d panel at half brightness. Colors look pathetic imo on such a poorly lit panel. Returning my 6970 for my 3rd r3 with nvidia was a great decision the panel is SO much better. Unfortunately the best decision I made was getting an r2 with an rgb panel which blows both r3 screens back to the commodore 64 era.

From my understanding the 120 Hz panel is made by LG/Philips - Whom is a leader in LCD/LED panel technology. I haven't seen a true comparison between the 60 Hz panels and the 120 Hz panels, but I'm starting to think that I made a good choice by going with the 3D option.

You did. i had a youtube video of both my r3s comparing the 60hz and the 120hz. I'd be embarassed if I had the 60hz panel ever again.

I would go with the 6970m. Alot better than the 460m. You will definetly see a bigger difference than 10-15fps and that does matter when playing a game that runs at 60fps.
you can tweak the screen to look better. Its like cailbrating a HDTV. It looks better after a calibration then straight from the factory.
Dont listen to anyone saying brighter is better. Thats how they sell HDTV's in Bestbuy. They max the quality setting so people go for whats brighter. Not true!
Brighter means washed out balcks and untrue whites. Thats why Plasmas are dark. They have the best blacks and rated at best picture quailty among HDTV's. The newer LED backlite models are catching up, but in all reason, brighter isnt better. You can tweak the screen to your liking. Not sure on the RGB screen. Cant comment on that.
