I have two OS on my ssd and hdd. I can boot on my ssd in port 1 with no problems. But i when i tried to boot on my hdd (this one still has my old OS) in port 0, it won't boot. I tried changing boot orders but still the same. I can still access my hdd when I'm in my ssd though.

Think you have the delete the old OS from the standard HDD. Why still have the old OS on the hard drive?

You may have to switch back to Raid to boot from the old HDD if it was set up that way when the OS was initially installed. I had the same experience. When I tried to boot from the old drive while in AHCI, it blue-screened.

^This. If by "won't boot" you mean it starts loading Windows but crashes, however, if it is not even seen as a bootable device you have a different problem.

My SSD is setup as AHCI and the original factory drive was setup with Raid mode in the BIOS. Any time I want to play around with the original config I have to change the BIOS mode before booting to the other disk. I use eSATA for the other configs but the principal is the same.

    Cheers,

Revelator I think answered it. I couldnt boot from my old hard drive in AHCI mode I had to switch back to RAID.

Any though on just getting a new HDD and storing the factor one for warranty issues?

Yeah my HDD is not seen as bootable drive. When I tried to boot on it, my computer will start windows installed on my ssd. I think the problem is, as you guys suggest, I had my setup change from raid to AHCI for my ssd. My old drive was set up to raid. I'll try to switch back to raid and see what happens. Thanks!
