    Hello all

Eventually got an i7 920xm for my M17 R2, chuffed! installed and thermal pasted, also installed Nvidia gtx 675m, :) uninstalled amd hd drivers and ati control center, now im at a loss to get the laptop to recognise the new(ish) gpu. but hwinfo detects it and displays it in its overview. but in device manager all display has is the internal graphics, ive disabled it, rebooted turned off the bios intel graphics, tried installing Nvidia and it says cannot detect compatible hardware,
Any help would be great I have the latest drivers 344.11 dld.
I just cant get the blooming thing to recognise the Gpu

    Thanks

I believe you needed modded drivers to run them on the R2.

I am going through this same process right now as you are. Iv been trying to get my drivers to install with my new 680m. Im having a hell of a time getting them to install even with modded drivers. Im not sure if they are modded correctly or if something is wrong. Device manager only recognizes the standard VGA adaptor. If you fid anything please let me know and I will do the same for you

Anyone tried the inf file published by laptopvideo2go? Always worked for me in the past with the 'hardware not detected' problem.

    LaptopVideo2Go: Drivers

    Win 8 is also win 7 ;)
