So I made a fresh OS install on my M17X R2 and my problem now is I lost my resource CD and I have to download everything of the internet.
Now I downloaded the latest wireless drivers so I can go wireless when using the internet. But I keep getting this error,
"No compatible hardware found. The software you are attempting to install is not supported on this system. The software will not be installed.
    Setup will now exit."
My OS is W7 X64, what is going wrong?

Could you go to Dell's drivers and downloads page and get the driver from there?

I've always kept the drivers i need for a Fresh install on a External HDD and numbered them in the order they should be installed.

    Keeps things simple. ;)

I went to dell's website but I get the same error even with the recommended drivers.
I was able to install, Intel 825xx Gigabit Platform LAN Network Device.
But not Atheros AR8151 LAN Drivers, and Dell Wireless WLAN 1520 Half MiniCard.

Update, I installed alienware OSD and tried to turn on the wireless receiver, but still not wireless networks detected... What am I missing???

Try to manually install them. Unpack the file you have downloaded from dell web site inside a folder of your choise. Go in Device manager and from the device list select your wifi card and select update driver. Do it manually browsing the location of the file you unpacked previously (it will look for an .inf file) . See if it install properly in this way and report back.
