    Cant change back to windows aero theme !

    Hi,

    Whenever i switch back from the Intel graphic card back to my Amd, my window theme is stuck at window basic. any idea? it use to automatically change back to window aero theme but for watever reason it has decide to stop it. any help?

    I also have this issue. I have all latest drivers.

    I was also getting the same problem... After a couple of reboots it fixed it self.... Weird huh ?

    mine fixed itself after i reboot. yea. very weird. dono what is wrong with it. hopefully some1 with a solution can help us !

    Same here guys, a reboot fixed it for me. But it seems odd, I remember being in IGP mode before with Aero enabled and active.

    Not sure what's going on ...

    thx dookie. erm. i uninstall the amd driver and everything. now when i try reinstalling back, nth seems to appear, not the ccc, not the driver, even in device manager i dont have the amd graphic card show there. any help? i suck at this kind of stuff.

    Are u installing the dell driver? Try downloading a few different drivers.

    i try install from the dell driver from another thread, the batboy recommend driver, i tried my 11.5 driver which i saved into my laptop when i last download it. nothing happen. all seems to install nothing back into my laptop. after i tried to install the driver, i went to the program file -> ati technologies in c drive to check what has install but it is empty.

    Can u try installing the driver manually through the control panel. Also did u reboot before and after uninstall and reinstall.

    Thru the control panel do u mean thru device manager? Yes, i reboot after uninstall and reinstall.

    Yes I meant device manager, sorry about that. Hmmm. Try installing the one from your resource disk then just install a new one over that.

    O, but the problem is in my device manager under display adapter only the intel graphic card is shown, no amd. i press scan for hardware changes and nothing happen. Thank you inap, i did a system restore already. got back my driver. not gonna try this again. haha. thank you bro. how do i add rep for u for being patient. haha

    I think you're supposed to switch to the AMD/ATI gpu and install everything. The dell driver takes care of the Intel thingy, so you don't have to switch to the igp and install the driver again. (I think).

    EDIT: Also, I just noticed my green bars just jumped from 3 to 4... WOOOHOO, gonna go crazy with repping now :) OP just got +1 :p
