What's the headphone's model? They usually connect automatically, i use them almost every day with my phone and AW.
Look into the manual that came with the headset, there are different manouvres you should do to get them paired (IE: press for "x" seconds the "y" button etc. and sometimes there's a password like 0000 or 8888). -
it never asked me for the code when i paired it but it did successfully the headphones are listed under bluetooth devices. It's a Bluetrek ST-1. never had a problem with it on my r2 or all 3 of my macbooks. Works with my iphone. I just cant see an option to select it under audio devices.

Check audio devices and still no device to be found.. am I looking in the right place?

Anyone? shouldnt the headset pop up somewhere that I can click 'use' ? This is frustrating...(opens tab to apple store...)

Im listening to music with it with my iphone because my AW is too suck to work. This blows.

Install the drivers from Dell's website. The widcomm stack isn't installed by default for some stupid reason...

Hmm interesting! I'll look into it.. I basically just turned on and used thi r3 as is. It works so I figure leave it alone. I that whatvim looking for on dells site? Wildcomm ?

I went to driver tab in devices for bluetooth and it says windows has determined your drivers are up to date? i d/l'd off dell site into my download folder but whatever i downloaded i can't open it as i get an error. any help?
thanks -
is this what i need?

Yea install that and watch the magic.
Word of caution. Listening to music through bluetooth headphones is great but if you wanted to Skype call or play online games the quality is disappointing; that's a limitation of Bluetooth itself. The standard only requires manufacturers to achieve cell phone quality communications, which is poor compared to what can be transmitted over VOIP.
I learned that the hard way after going through several "high end" BT headsets, dongles, and laptops. -
I download that and i cant open it or run it. Do I have to dL it to a specific location?
I hear ya on the bluetooth. Ive been through so many BT headphones I can probably do a pretty good review on them.. etymotic ety8, s-9, s10, jaybird, sleek sa6, sleek sa7, sennheiser rs 160, sennheiser rs180.. list goes on lol..
I really just listen to music or movies or game while at work no calls. Only reaosn Im using the bluetreks is because my sa7 sleek audio wireless stopped working so I mailed itback for warranty repair. Im just using the bluetrek till I get them back in the mail. -
Its an executable. It should just run.

i double click the file and...

That's the right file. Try using a different browser it looks like your download isn't being completed properly.

Thanks so much guys I found out it didn't dl the first time. Worked like a charm and it looked like I had the option to select the headset but my shift is over and I'm gonna go home and rock on my desktop . I'll report tomorrow on the headset.
-
Yeap glad it works. Still very odd Dell doesn't install this package when the machine leaves the factory.

I couldn't agree more. It's quite simple and I bet a bunch of people are frustrated that they can't get their bt devices paired and working asap.
