bro, since the r3 drivers are for nvidia, where can we download the Intel IGP drivers for ATI?

I would love to do this the right way (intel then ATI) as i am stuck with just ATI install first, uninstall intel and restart to install automatically, which might not be good.

The Intel IGP drivers for use with ATI cards is integrated with and installed by the official Dell drivers for the ATI card. If you have found a new method to install and use the separate Intel drivers on the Dell site with ATI cards that allows us to dispense with the Dell ATI drivers and install the newer ATI reference drivers on a standalone basis, then great, we will follow your lead, but it hasn't worked for others in times past.

    oh i see..

hmm.. i see you are using 6970m as well. So after driver sweeping, do you encounter any problems after installing the 11.10?

I am not sure i installed correctly as i am only getting 25-45 fps on BF3 single player on everything ultra and AA turned off.

My problems for BF3 for my R2 stem from Crossfire, no surprise it performs better with crossfire disabled. :(

For those having issues. I just did an uninstall of the existing drivers using the utility, then reinstalled. Everything works just fine.

    I think.

I think I noticed a decrease in performance as well in Crysis 2 running DX11... :(

Also now Rage runs with a blue background no textures, really weird.

    Anyone can help with this?

    Thanks

To temporarily fix your rage issues, you can do this...grab the DLL's from the preview driver and placein your rage installation as per instructions:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...-you-want-keep-amd-11-9-official-drivers.html

I will be playing some Crysis 2 DX11 with ultra textures later and i'll post back with my results

    But honestly though...

I can't see the difference between stock dell drivers and the 11.9 and 11.10 apart from the vantage and 3dmark11 scores.

I'm getting similar fps on Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 with and without 11.9 and 11.10 drivers.

My CCC goes away while trying to install the 11.9 and 11.10 drivers. So I custom install it and disselect the CCC installation. So it retains the CCC that came with Dell.

It didn't feel right to me in games, it boosted gpu score in vantage but decreased performance in Metro2033, original Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2... regarding BF3, it felt to me better on 11.9 too, so I reverted back to 11.9

I had to revert back to the stock dell drivers after installing this one since it disabled my FN+ F4/F5 and I could not switch to my intel card as well. Not too good.

This driver 11.10 and cap4 profile brought back bf3 stuttering issues that was in 11.9. I also have green and white screen flashes (running 400m can occur 1-4 times)

Anyone got any tips on how I should proceed?

I'm starting to hate ATI, lol... Suppose I'm going to revert back to Nvidia, I can see how the Benchmark Peeps prefer ATI, but in terms of actual utilization I'm starting to lean towards Nvidia the amount of driver issues with ATI is starting to amass and bugs the crap out of me. Reading all these postings only confirms my beliefs.

I have yet to see crossfire being implemented in a major title release in the proper way. I mean with every title looking back there has been an issue with crossfire. For instance: MW2 Flickering Bad Company, Drivers didn't load properly in fact load times were awful and before that there were driver issues again. With Battlefield 3 Driver Issues yet again. Don't take it personally but with the ATI cards as I've had them for a little over 2 years now there has been way too many driver issues for my liking. The ATI cards bench well but with every release I'm hearing and getting non stop driver issues. And then I check out my friend who has the same setup with a 285 SLI and it's sad to say he has way less issues overall, he may not bench as well but his setup runs alot smoother when in actual utilization.

Hey how do I uninstall the cap4 profile? I think this has made everything a little worse?
I now have experienced a few full crashes, where the screen freezes and I have to ctrl+alt+del. Two times happened while flying jets, both times getting heat-seekers and losing it =[

Just thought I'd let you know I've gone back to the Dell 11.8 (is that right?) and things got a little better...

No more stuttering in Crysis 2 and less in Bulletstorm.

Might update to the 11.9, but I think Rage likes the 11.8 better...

Come on AMD a lot of us are running your chips, please come out with a decent driver!

Also, when I right click on me desktop I dont have the switchable GFX option anymore. I can do Fn+F7 and it works.

Do you know how to get that back? I installed the Dell driver so why isn't it working?

To the ppl. with failed installations, are all of you guys installing the drivers when ATI is active....right ?...because most often than not i am running the intel rather the 6970M,

Basically i installed the dd-ocl drivers found here (i know the AMD site one's have always given me grief since 11.6's) and it worked flawlessly...no errors... nothing .......used a combination of AMD_BLACKCOMBXT_A00_R291070+the 11.96's from ATI

Sorry to ask a noob question and sorry if it's been asked before but I want to be CRYSTAL clear on this as I get my R3 in about 12 hours..

Once I unbox it, presumably it will have the latest (and working) Intel and AMD drivers on.

    1. Should I just install these over the top?
    2. Which card needs to be active when I do install this?
    3. Anything specific to do for the install (e.g. don't install CCC etc)?

    Thanks

11.10s seem fine for me but I don't own Rage or Battlefield 3. Everything else is basically no better or worse than before. To be honest ever since the Dell Stocks that came pre-installed when I got system in April I have installed 11.5, 11.6, 11.7, 11.8 (skipped 11.9) and now have 11.10. Each installation has just been an over the top of existing drivers install & has always worked without a hitch. But I do wonder if it is worth the effort as I have never seen any difference from set to the other.

I guess the most sensitive game to driver changes that I own is Crysis, my FPS is no better or worse than it ever was before. I think ideally I'd have preferred to stay on dell stocks but I upgraded because the bundled CCC sometimes refused to launch. Since updating I no longer have that problem but that's about the only change/improvement.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but switchable graphics is working for me to a degree. Assuming I boot from the IGP, I can switch to and from the ATI just fine. If I boot from the ATI, I can't switch to and from the IGP, and can only do so by manually disabling the video device from the Device Manager. For what it's worth, 11.10 hasn't affected this for me. I've just become accustomed to switching back to the IGP when I'm done my gaming so I'm always booting via the IGP.

This is kind of a noob question but just curious, will I really notice any improvement in games fps and performance if I update to the 11.10 drivers. I currenly have the latest dell vbios and dell stock drivers installed (5870 xfire) and never had any issues with them, they worked great with any games I've played so far. I don't benchmark so I don't care about synthetic scores, just games performance. I guess I'm not sure if I would really notice any fps improvement to new games like BF3, Rage, Skyrim etc. or will the difference be negligable, if any?

I never noticed any difference with each driver update. All games work just as well as before. I only run an old benchmark on 3d Mark 06 (it's not really the best BM but it's installed on my system so I just use it) & the score under Dell stock was around 19,700. Since moving to ATI drivers 10.5 and up it has always been around 19500/19600 so if anything a slight drop (very negligible though). Games exactly the same.

So personally I'd say if your happy with your games then don't update. The later drivers probably work better with only the newest games but you'd only really need to update if you come across a problem. I've been lucky as all updates have gone smoothly on my system but judging from the myriad of posts they can cause all sorts of headaches - so if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
