I'm trying to get Wow running in directx 11 mode but everytime i try and start it, I get a memory fault from wowerror.exe and wow won't start. If i go back to dx9, everything works fine.

Is this an issue with WoW or the latest NVIDIA driver? I have the latest version of it. Thanks

I'll get my R3 with 460m and 3D in a few days. I'll let you know. Currently on my 5870, dx11 on gives me like free 8 fps if not more.

I just downloaded WoW on my laptop finally to test this for you...Works great for me in Ultra and in 3D, I have my res set to 1280x720 for my projector though, projector doesn't output 120hz @ 1080p

Reset it working fine, 26 fps without 3D on and 17-18fps with it on with everything maxed out at 720p. Testing 1080p now (on laptop screen)

    20fps non-3d @ 1080p

    12fps 3D @ 1080p

Oddly low fps even without 3D on. That max shadow slider kills. But Nice to see that the fps isn't exactly halved.

I have the 460M 60Hz (no 3D), and was able to run WoW in DX11 with the switch, but didn't see enough of a difference in quality to make it worth the noticeable drop in frame rates. I'm still running the original 266.68 drivers.

Hmm, weird... It won't even start for me. I'm using the 267.64 drivers.

Anyone with the latest nvidia drivers able to run WoW in DX11?

Mulitsample or anisotropic? I have antisotropic set to 8x... multisample is set to 1x i think.

So I got the R3 today and loaded WoW on it. With 3D on and everything on high (shadow on good) 4x af and 2x multisample, hanging out in from of org AH I was getting mid 30s fps. Without 3D it was 40s. I'll have to look again, my memory could've been off. But bottom line is, with 3D on the performance was still very good. And this is at 1080p and fresh out of the box, no reinstall.
