Just wondering if anyone has tried out the new catalyst drivers:
AMD Catalyst 12.7 BETA (8.981.2 June 12) download from Guru3D.com
I wouldn't mind hearing some feedback before I give them a try.
Supposedly they gave a nice boost to 7xxxx desktop GPUs. If they give a boost to 6xxxm series I'll give them a try.

I wouldnt mind some feedback as well.

This has been going on for a while. The consensus so far is that these drivers will lower you benching scores, but are more stable and gives some good FPS gains while gaming. -
Thanks for the link.
For the 6990m Alienware users I don't recommend the driver. -
I rollbacked to the 12.4 drivers. -

Thank you guys, great feedback on that version

I tried the newest drivers, and was told my graphics card was not found.... :S
Rolled back to the Dell supported version, whichever that might be....! -
glad i did a system restore before installing this one, it detected my cfx5870 as firepro m7820. 12.6 is still working good though.
-
Guru3D forum feedback was pretty negative for these.

The last few times I've used "leaked" drivers that were in beta but not released by AMD themselves, I've had very poor results. Very please with 12.6 so far. If there are any known advantages to these though, I'll play guinea pig again

HaloGod2012 Notebook Virtuoso
tried them, afterburner wont work so no OC, went back to 12.5
-
I just installed the "official" 12.7 beta driver from the AMD main web page and working great so far. Benches are a little bit better and haven't seen any performance or screen problems. So far very happy with them.

+1 for the 12.6 WHQL. Installed right over the Dell drivers and all thumbs, scores and FPS up. Don't care for betas myself.

There are links on the page you linked to, in a sidebar to the right. For example, 64bit Windows leads here:
AMD Catalystâ„¢ Mobility Display Driver
EDIT: AMD warns against using these drivers with switchable graphics. Can the M17x R4 in fact continue to use switchable graphics with the 12.6 AMD drivers? -
Or what...do you just not use the switch command? -
Most on here have been installing drivers from AMD after installing the dell drivers with little trouble. Installing the driver from dell first allows for switchable graphics... at least I believe this to be the case. I know that I have never really used the dell driver except as a starting base with my 6990m. -

Sadly not yet, have it on xbox but haven't picked it up for the PC just yet. I've heard that they did make improvement however, just no way to prove it just yet. -
I cant seem to use my 7970M after following the installation process on AMD's website videos.
AMD Support & Drivers
Now I cant even open CCC as my GPU has some sort of issue.
I did a clean install of uninstalling the CCC and installing the new one. Now these issue :/ -

If you are installing drivers over the Stock druvers make sure you have Fn + F7ed into your dedicated GPU

The *Official* 12.7 beta is working nicely with my 7970M CrossFire setup, but the modded driver was horrible. You can get Catalyst 12.7 beta and CAP1 directly from AMD now. [ LINK]
c69k - I have the same issue with Afterburner until the MSIAfterburner.cfg file is tweaked for overclocking. Open it in NotePad and make changes to the lines shown below.
