    I can find the desktop version, but I can't seem to find the mobility version. Is this because it doesn't exist?

    Available here -- AMD Catalyst 11.8 Preview Driver download from Guru3D.com. One size fits all. These work great in my M15x. but are erratic in the M17x-R3. However, I must admit that I have not yet discovered the secret of installing newer reference drivers in the R3, either on a clean install basis or by installing over the Dell drivers.
