Hi , Im very particular with setups and making sure I have the best Visual/Performance Ratio. So Im making this thread for EVERYONE ( Especially those with Dual 5870s ) Just to see how you have your CCC setup.

    :D Whats Gpus ?

    2. What games do you play?

    3. Whats your Catalyst Control Center Setup?

    4. Hows the Frames per second ?

    5. Odd info?

    _______________________________________________________________

    Ill go first

    1. Dual 5870s i7 8Gbddr3

    2. BFBC2 / Deadspace / Dirt2 / FEAR 2 ( Woot 3 out soon )

    3. This is where Im not to sure thats why I hope you can help me decide. Currently

    AA: 4x
    AF: 16x
    Tessellation : AMD Optimized
Catalyst A.I. : OFF ( anyone have solid info on this? )
    Mipmap : Maxed ( 4th tab )
    Vertical Refresh: Maxed ( 4th tab )
Anti-Aliasing Mode: This is the weird one. Ive had it run both Multi and Super Some games work great or Crap with either or
    OPENGl: Off

    4. I got to have at least 45fps for my First Person shooter games. I do notice with my setup jaggies on my 1080p output , but its overall the best I came up with.

    5. GO ALIENWARE!

I usually just have all that stuff set to "Let the Application Decide" or whatever that is called. I change all of those settings to my liking in the game.

If you set Catalyst AI OFF crossfire doesn't work anymore.

X2, if it's set to off, crossfire will be disabled

Any way, set up on sign, everything set to application controlled, Mipmap level set to High Quality, Tessellation set to AMD optimized.

    Game i play: A lot :D

Lately NFS Shift2, maxed out@ native res. (latest AMD driver made the game a joy to play on crossfire setup)
Dragon Age 2 setting on High, native res, everything else maxed out (ambient occlusion, anisotropic F. 16X and antialias 8X from ingame setup): run perfect

sorry for off topic a bit :)

which driver and cap are you using for nfs shift 2?

I made it run one time with 11.5a/11.5 cap5 with flickering, I tried with 11.6 and 11.6 cap 1 with no luck, cf didn't work then I was backing to 11.5a/11.5 cap5, cf even haven't worked no more lol

if you have a solution, thank you for sharing :)

ps: I did all clean uninstall each insatalling time with driver sweeper and ccleaner in safe mode.

Ok , guy huddle up we have a problem:GEEK:

Running an R2 with Dual 5870s Is my first multi gpu pc. So Im still learning. I just read and searched all over to double check and from what Im reading.

If I disable CCC A.I. Its the same as Turning Crossfire off.

This is quit a sh :eek:cker to me. So I figured alright no problem I'll just enable it. However when I do I get Worst FPS then I would running it with one gpu. This makes me wonder what is the point of dual gpus. Ive got to be doing something wrong?

Yes, disabling AI will disable crossfire, as well as playing in windowed mode, it will disable crossfire.

Wich are the titles that you are running getting worste performance vs single card? Not all the game support CF or SLI properly, some of them needs to be tweaked.

mmm not a list, but i can tell you the game that i'm running that support crossfire: nfs shift2, mass effect, mass effect 2, Crysis2, Homefront, Portal 2, dead space 2, MoH, World of Warcraft. At least this is what i have currently installed on my system. Also The Witcher 2 but i have it uninstalled becouse i cannot download the 9.5 Gb patch that steam want me to download at the moment..
