Hey guys, I managed to fix the error 43 for my 7970m, and now device manager shows no yellow signs for either intel hd 3000 or 7970m. however, catalyst control center still refuses to open, what gives?

What version of CCC is installed? AND...I found that Microsoft .NET Framework 4 needs to be installed for it to run properly.

Basically what you need to do is uninstall the .NET FrameWork and reinstall it. There are a couple of ways to do this, one would be using the Windows Features but I won’t trust MS that this will completely wipe the app so we are going to use Aaron Stebner’s Automated Cleanup Tool which will do a proper job.

    http://download.benchmark3d.com/Tools/dotnet_cleanup/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip

    1. Download the above tool and run it.
    2. Select the corresponding OS and make sure it says “All Versions”.
    3. Hit the Cleanup Now button.
    4. When the tool is finished restart and install DotNetFX 4.0 (or the latest version of the .NET FrameWork)
    5. Uninstall any AMD Catalyst software, preferably using a Driver Sweeper.
    6. Install whichever Catalyst you need/want.
    7. Enjoy a fully functional Catalyst Control Center.

This happened to me once, I fixed it by completely uninstalling the AMD catalyst (manually removed remaining folders and cleaned up registry), then just reinstalled the latest catalyst and it worked properly.

Seems to happen every now and then if you just uninstall the catalyst using Windows 7 programs and features.
