I just got my M17X-R3 back from the Depot and everything was going great until I installed the Modified A08 BIOS and I re-enabled the IGP. However, I saw a resolution setting (I think it was IGP Resolution?) that was set to default at 1024x768. I figured this was wrong and changed it to 1920x1080. After restarting the computer, there's just a black screen. No Alien Head logo, nothing. I can't even connect an external monitor.

I'm pretty sure that resolution changed is the culprit and I feel stupid about it now.

    What can I do?

Do you have anything else plugged into it? Sometimes my machine won't boot with my phone plugged in to charge. Just an idea.

No I don't but I just figured it out. I just unplugged my video card and reset the CMOS battery and my bios reset. I renabled the IGP without messing wtih the resolution this time but I forgot to change my hard drive settings from RAID to AHCI so I have to reformat again. Oh well, at least my computer is working again!

If this doesn't work then take off the bottom, find the cmos battery (round silver battery easy to find) and pop it out. Hold the power button for a sec with the battery out and everything unplugged. Then put it all back together.

Taking out the GPU/CMOS battery worked fine. I just finished re-installing everything and I can confirm that Dell at least replaced the motherboard because the SPDIF/both Headphone jacks now work. Also, my Windows Aero works again (the color schemes didn't work before)! Really happy atm, hope the video card problems are gone forever!
