So currently have a ati 4870 and not a big fan of ati anymore, anyway I can swap out my 4870 for 2 nvidia 280m in sli? have a m17x r2.

if you have R2, you can only have the GTX 285M SLI, no other NVIDIA card will work.
-
What made you tired enough of your 4870 to want to swap it?
-
well originally i only bought it with one and ive regretted it since I did shoulda full blown when I bought it. So now im deciding to upgrade it.
You sure? Can Anyone confirm it won't work? -

Yes it has been tried before(putting stock GTX 280m in the R2).
But since you can flash them to GTX 285m they should work.
There's a copy of the stock vBIOS in one of my threads for the GTX 285 in the R2. -
Does flashing it affect the performance of the cards? And what does flashing the cards enable me to do if i didn't. So if I install two gtx 280s into my computer and start it how much could I do without flashing to 285?
