Follow this...it should work. It starts at 1 min into vid. How to Fix- Plugged in, Not charging - YouTube
did that help you? -
One thing to try, if you haven't already is simply unplug the laptop...remove the battery, hold the power button down for about 30 seconds.
Then put the battery back in, plug in the laptop, and power it back up. And see if that helps.
Good luck! -
do i need to turn it off first?
-
Any fix please
i really need it..
i've got some Screenshot in gta sa (CrossfireEnabled)
with Radeon pro also enabled..

Are you sure the lagging is related to the charging? If so, how are you sure? How have you tested it? Have you played with the battery removed? Do you have the latest A10 bios?
-
i think there is no way of fixing the "plugged in, not charging" problem definitely =S
it was really disapointing considering its a U$2000 + laptop, maybe i'll go for the razer blade when its available. -
and i have the A10 Bios.. -
Make sure Stealth mode is not on. Stealth mode indicator.
Explain the issue in as much detail as possible. I'm having a hard time understanding what exactly is going on. -
Ok,i will see,, if it's working or not..
the problem is,when i played games with CF/without CF the battery will not charging, and it gives me full of lag,, but, when i ALT+TAB or exit the game the battery will charge as usual..
is that my adaptor problem or my gpu???
thanks for your help sir -
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
I would Uninstall OSD and do a power drain.

Please help i'm struggling haha

Tsunade_Hime such bacon. wow
I mean the only way to test...is use a known good adapter and see if that fixes the issue. You'll need a 240 watt Flextronics or Delta.

Yes...that is the only way to test it. It's about 70-90 dollars for a brand new OEM adapter..

the problem start if i played a games.. -
Hi AlienwareFreakz.
If it works without you gaming, then either A: your video cards are drawing too much power to charge while gaming, or B: you have a system conflict somewhere between the Video Drivers, Windows, and the Alienware OSD.
Do a clean install of the video drivers (using driversweeper, for example) and also unintstall the Alienware OSD and download the newest version. Reistall the video drivers, then the OSD. First check that you can charge outside of gaming, then with crossfire, then without.
If still nothing works you may have to re-sit or repaste your video cards. Your problem is unique so it is hard to pinpoint where to help you. Good Luck! -
I am having battery issues too. How do you do a power drain?

Shut down your system.
Unplug the power cord and system battery.
Remove the back, held by the two screws that were hidden by the battery.
Now you have access to the HDDs, system fan etc.
Near the system fan you have the coincell battery, unplug it.
Flip over your laptop and press the power button for ~30 seconds.
Put everything back together.
