I would suggest getting the 1200p screen. What are you planning on using the laptopp for? You can always add a second 5870 down the road for around $400 total

Yes but the config with 900p is an ofert and the other config y made by me. Ill try to speak with a dealer and tell him how much cost the screen 1200p in the ofert but if is more expensive what option do you choose?

The 1200p screen is amazing! I forget how good it is until I use other screens. Movies & games look great on it. If you can get the 1200p I would recommend it!

I'd go for the CF 5870m. You can always pick up an Ext monitor down the road which will probably look better than the RBG screens. Difference is barely noticeable though

go for the 1200p screen... I was out to get a new laptop for my friend and I was like "thats not good" "this looks dull" coz I am spoiled by this rgb screen and I dont find ANY other laptop screens instore even comparable..

Take the 1200P screen, you can buy a second 5870 down the road from Dell or someone else, if you need one. Trust me, you do not want to be without the 1200P RGB LED.

The the crossfire 5870's. You can never have enough processing power. Then upgrade the screen yourself to 1200p. It'll only cost around $130.

PLEASE show me a link where you think you can get the 1920x1200 RGB LED LCD screen that will fit in an Alienware M17x for $130 so I can buy a couple cases of them to resell. Dell wants $1100+ for it.

kiluxi: If you have to only pick one of the two, get the 1200p screen. If you are considering an upgrade later on to end up with both, adding the second graphics card will be MUCH cheaper than replacing the screen.

Depends on how often you will use the built in LCD and if you need the higher resolution.

If you primarily use an external like I do, it would not be worth it. I kinda wish I would have saved a couple hundred and not got mine. It looks good, but it's just too tiny to be usable at a desk while using an external keyboard (ends up being 2 ft from me at that point so I can't even appreciate the higher res or play any games at the max resolution anyways). So I use my cheapo $150 acer LCD instead.
