    Command prompt opens after installing Catalyst 12.6

    Specs in the sig...

    So after I installed catalyst 12.6 everytime I start up the laptop cold or re-boot Windows opens a command prompt window for anywhere from 2 seconds to 10 seconds.

    Nothing is really effecting the card...I benched it and it seems to be fine, I just have never seen this before. Is anyone else getting this?

    Like I said, its not a big deal but its kind of klunky at start up.

    Do you have the official 12.6 driver or the beta? I had the beta, only on first reboot did I have the command prompt open up.

    I have the command prompt popping up after every restart here... It's been that way for a while now. :/

    It stuck with me since arrival. Now I'm on 12.7 Modded beta myself, but still having the damn Command Prompt window opening up each time. Should I try a clean install? I just installed over the older drivers when I did.

    i installed the official 12.7 betas from AMD. Maybe give that a try before you do a clean install? Actually, a clean install probably won't make much of a difference because that popup screen seems to be a remnant of the old drivers that will be hopefully cleaned up with the official whql drivers

    It was just a minor annoyance. It didn't cause any problems for me

    Annoyance yes, my thoughts exactly. I'll try those drivers out shortly..
