Does anyone know if it is possible to connect an Xbox 360 to the m17x-R2 directly without using the M17x to display on a TV?

I have an adapter for the 360 that lets me plug a wire straight from the back of the 360 into another computer monitor I have. With that monitor I simply have to change the video display to switch between my desktop and the 360 on the same monitor.

When I plug the same adapter in the HDMI port on the m17x, I get no alternate display options. I have pressed FN-F6 to attempt to change the display but nothing happens.

Does anyone know if this is simply not possible or perhaps I am pressing the wrong button?

    Hi piChart,

I believe the HDMI port on the Alienware is an OUTPUT port only. So I don't believe what you are trying to accomplish will work.

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

    Good luck!

The HDMI port on the M17x is OUTPUT only.
So, this will not work in the manner you are hoping.

You can do a search for PS3 to M17x to find threads on the same topic.
