With the release of a lot of important console games coming up this November, my roommate and I are looking to purchase a second Xbox360 and set it up to where he can play on his TV and I can play on my M17x.

Now, I know you can do this, but I'm a bit in the dark about how to do it. I don't know exactly what cable I would need, or if you need a specific one to play it on the M17x. I'd also be interesting in sending the audio from the 360 through my Bose headphones but didn't know if I'd need separate cables for that or if I could just use the ones provided with the 360.

All help and/or suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

    connection be HDMI

i believe u can just use the sound ports on the m17x for the headset

HDMI cables do hd video and audio in the one cable.
    Get some decent cables tho.

( important and console in one sentence eww ;p )

m17x r3 has HDMI input so u be needing to get a hdmi cable for your xbox to the laptop.

hdmi is digital so cable quality doesn't make any difference aside from durability.

dont get suckered into buying stupid expensive cables.

You plug it in through HDMI and if you have your headphones plugged into the computer the audio will automatically be sent into them. It's really easy to use.

Awesome. Thanks everyone. Just any old HDMI cable will do, like a $3 cable off of NewEgg?

Yah and HDMI will work. I like Monoprice.com for my cable needs but where ever you find the cheapest is fine :)
