    Difference between consumer and workstation graphics....

    My M17xR4 came with the ATI 7000 series..... why would I want a fireGL series card and are they compatible with the M17x R4.

    Also, what are the costs..... I did not see them for sale anywhere.

    FirePro cards are meant for 3D modelling and heavy Adobe or CAD design. They are meant to provide a stable platform to render the 3D images and artifacts without it taking all day. They are meant more for the design and simulation industry...not for gaming use.

    ^ As others have said. Firepro are for graphics rendering on Maya,C4D ect.
