My Sony Vaio VGN-FZ280E is getting historic, planning to get a gaming laptop with an HDMI input.
This will be my first AW purchase, im trying to decide if i should go with the 17 with this config for 2k
8GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
HARD DRIVE 750GB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200 RPM) + 64GB mSATA SSD Caching
VIDEO CARD NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 770M with 3GB GDDR5
LCD PANEL 17.3" WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Display
4th Generation Intel® Core i7-4700MQ processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz)
Or
Should i just go with the 18 with default config for 2.1k
8GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz
HARD DRIVE 750GB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200 RPM)
VIDEO CARD Dual NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5 - NVIDIA SLI® Enabled
4th Generation Intel® Core i7-4700MQ processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz)

Is wireless card Broadcom 4352 802.11 ac 2x2 and Bluetooth 4.0 better than the killer foot they offered before?
Wheres the 780m option for the 17? how much extra?
Any tips on discount or coupon?
Thanks in advance

I would definitely go for the m17x unless you are planning to get a second card for the m18x.

On a side note, if you select the $1999 starting point for the 17, you can add a 780m for $200, taking it to $2199 before any discounts. Also, ram is upgraded to 16gb inclusive. A single 780m is gonna be marginally better than 765 Sli, and quite a deal faster than a single 770m.

Remember, if you go for the 18 and want to upgrade gpu's, you have got to upgrade two, as all gpu configurations are dual card/Sli - no single gpu option. Possibly false economy going for 765m Sli vs a single 780m in a 17.
My two pennies....
Contemplatng and needs help
