Hi guys, i would like to know if its possible for me to unplug the video cable from its current default location on the motherboard to the one nex to it so as to enable intel graphics switching.

I know I wont be able use 3D etc since 120Hz is not supported by Intel GPU. But will I be able to use it if I set the display at 60 Hz prior to doing this.

OR will the notebook refuse to boot up because of the screen itself.

Kindly clarify or guide to thread

I'm not confident in my own answer.

But I think the screen is wholly incapable of being powered by a chip that can't do 120htz.

So no, I don't think what your asking is possible.

I will be corrected if I'm wrong though :)

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the screen will just not work with the Intel IGP, since the Integrated gpu is not capable of supporting the 120hz. Even if you set it to 60hz, I still think it would not work.

The 3d screen is different from the stock 1080p screen, so that might also play in (400nit vs 300nit, etc.)
