Hi guys, i just recieved my m17x with dual 5870s and the i7 820 yesterday and installed crysis on it today.

Is it normal for the performance to drop with all settings ultra high even at lower resolutions? i keep hearing people sayings that theirs play crysis maxed out easily,

Im also getting alot of flickering especially in the clouds and distant trees, is this normal for crossfire? or is my cards faulty?

Check and see if stealth mode is on.

Wow that's the exact same CPU and GPU I ordered, let's hope this is just a simple error.

oh crap i forgot to do that , flickering stopped,

but can u tell me if ur led screen keeps flickering during gameplay? if u look really hard you'll see it getting slightly dim then bright sometimes rapidly.. i dont know whats up with that...

also how is the performance with your 5870s? do u get good frame rate with 1200p and everything ultra high?

If your screen is dimming then getting bright, check that the connections on your power supply are all tight. I've found on my M17 that you can wiggle the power supply just a bit to where the computer switches to "battery mode" and dims your screen.
