Now that I hacked and tinkered with my R2 to a significant degree I think it has a shot at handling the original Crysis! Problem is the edition Im interested in, Maximum Edition, is only available from UK/AUS sellers on ebay, and on amazon.com a sizeable handful of reviewers complain about the DRM from EA?

Any info would be great, thanks.

I believe the hard copy of Crysis Max is limited to 5 installs. So you have be careful reformating your HDD. Get the Steam version or EA Digital Download and you can install as many times as you want. If eBay is your cheapest deal, just watch out on the # of installs.

I would just wait for it to go on sale in Steam. Their summer sale should be starting up soon. I got Crysis for real cheap last year they had a sale.

Thanks for the advice, I also heard that version 1.8 does not support crossfire and that youre automatically updated to this version?

I actually had to call EA and request that they reset my installation count. The guy did it without much back-pressure. Then Crysis/Warhead both went on sale on Steam, so I don't have to deal with that crap anymore.
