So I put in an order for the M17x on 6/28, and it's had a 7/15 estimated delivery date the entire time. And currently, on 7/11, it's still in production. Should I expect it to be here this Friday the 15th or do they usually slip on their estimate? Thanks folks!

If you are concerned at all just call them and ask if everything is in order. I had an order canceled on me after waiting 10 days and then I put an order in on the weekend (last saturday). With my last order going belly up I thought it best to call today and I had to speak with another dept. to iron out some details. There was some confusion if I was a business or not and they needed to verify my shipping address. They assured me everything is in order now... we'll see ;)

Hey thanks Lan. I forgot to mention I got 2nd day shipping, So I assume with how it is now, they have another 2 days and some change to get it shipped, lol. If there isn't any change by tomorrow I'm gunna give them a ring.

I ordered on June 22nd... it was supposed to be here July 8th. It's still In Production and they now have no idea when it'll be here.

I'm actually in the exact same boat as you, same order date and EDD! Creepy considering that I was going to post a thread earlier today as well...

Anywho, I actually called Dell and asked what was going on and from what the lady told me everything seemed to be a okay; my laptop should be here by Friday (hopefully...)!

However, I have actually been in "Pre-Production" up until today...the lady said that she would look into it and check up on as to why it hadn't changed to "In Production." I hope nothing bad has happened...

Stuck in "Pre-Production" isn't great news :( Basically from what I know about "Pre-Production" is the laptop was never sent to the factory.

Also, they no longer carry the 6300 cards (based on the m17x order page), only the Killer Wireless 1103. So your order may or may not get carried out and you will be in the Dell loop :/

    US site:
    Wireless 802.11 g/n
    Intel® Advanced N + WiMAX 6250 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO Technology
    Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO for Gaming & Video

Yeah, I figured as much. However, I thankfully did not order the Intel 6300 card; I plan on upgrading my laptop's wireless card myself.

Still don't know why then that my laptop was stuck in the "Pre-Production"...it does seem now though to be "In Production"...I hope.
