    Hi.

So far i never had issues. Lately my lap doesnt recognizes my 240w adapter unless i plug it in different direction. It does moves up and down easily.

I hope you guys got it. DC Port does moves if i shake my Ac Adapter pin. Do you think i need to replace my DC Port or its apadpter issue?

that is the common sign that the port needs to be replaced, BUT also check the power supply male adapter portion as mine just went bad on my 240w power supply. i changed the laptop power port twice to realize it wasnt the power port but the power supply.

If it still delivers power but the BIOS throws you adapter warnings, chances are the center pin is damaged, either on the adapter or the jack in the laptop.

The pic below shows the plug. The outer barrel is negative, the inner sleeve of the barrel is positive and the center pin is used to communicate data between the adapter and the BIOS.

Based on the machine in your signature you can upgrade to the following: 4900MQ, 4910MQ, 4930MX or 4940MX with a maximum of 32 gigs of DDR3 1600.

Also, note that you have 4800MQ not MX as there is no processor called 4800MX.
