    Hello,
I have an AlienWare M17x R2 16 gb RAM, 250GB SSD + 1 TB Western Digital drive, 5870m CrossFire Setup.

Has long I can remember, my laptop suffer of slowness, sometimes. I look around the internet and I learn about DPC latency. I first use dpclat and it shows me latencies at every 30 seconds. So I work a bit on it and found a way to do not have "too" much latencies. BUT, after that, I used LatencyMon and.... well it's just insane how much this aluminium trash have latencies!

I tried everything I could find on Google to help me and it didn't work, so do not say "Google is your best firend". Thanks

I will try every solution, even if I already tried it!

    thanks a lot!

That issue was resolved a long time ago. I don't remember when. But here is my video I did back then to show that dpc latencies was fixed.

Thanks for the answer. DPClat doesn't show big latency at all, except if I click on the eject button. On the other hand, LatencyMon show big latency, up the 10ms if not more, and a lot of hard fault. If you have your laptop can you do the test to see if it is software related?

Sorry , I don't have the laptop no more. It was a BIOS update that solved the problem.

Damn... I upgrade the BIOS to the last one (A10) and the problem isn't resolved. Don't know what to do anymore
