Hi guys! Backlight for LED RGB display which I transplanted from an R2 about a year ago just died. Screen still shows images if I hit it with a strong enough flashlight but looks absolutely black with normal light, even at Alienhead screen on startup. Display is fine on external monitor through HDMI.

Question: Is there an inverter that can be independently changed? Anybody got any got any ideas besides "Remove and Replace" display assembly?

    Thanks!

SOLVED! Opened lappy and reseated both connectors from display to mobo....found the larger one to be oh so slightly skewed and not fully engaged at one end! Blew it out with compressed air and CAREFULLY & fully seated it. Poof....problem solved! Backlight now operates normally!!
