    Hi,

So I ordered my M17x on 3/29, original estimated delivery was 4/22. I called and complained a few days ago that it wasn't gonna get to me with 7 day delivery so they changed to next business day.

However, this morning, I got an email saying it's been delayed to 5/2 as estimated delivery.

Anything I can do about this? Complain? Get something more out of it to compensate? Any thoughts?

    Thanks!!!

What are your system specs? I may be heading in the same direction you are.

Could be worse, I ordered 3/23 w/ 4/14 EED, then got bumped to 5/12. So I canceled, then changed my mind and reordered. Now it is 5/11... :(

    I would be really pleased if I had a 5/2 EDD :(

From what I've seen, most of the M17x orders with 460M + 120hz screen are getting delayed at the last minute by a couple weeks.

You could probably call Dell back and see if they can offer you free NBD shipping, or threaten to cancel and see if they offer you any extra discounts/bonuses.

For everyone who's having their orders delayed, call Dell and inquire about your order with a customer support specialist. They usually offer you a free upgrade to NBD right on the spot, and they can contact manufacturing to get a better estimate on your order status. The simple act of them doing so somehow speeds up and prioritizes your order, as that's what it seemed like when I called in to Dell.

Mine's already been expedited by 2 senior tech support agents and 2 senior sales people: That was part of the deal in me repurchasing a replacement r3. Also, Canada's pricing includes shipping which is always NBD as far as I can tell.

I ordered my r3 on April 8 and received it April 18. I was thinking , wow that was fast.

I got it maxed out on everything ( 3d Version) including 2 SSD drives in 0 raid.

Maybe the price has something to do with the quick delivery?

It does make you wonder how it's decided on what get's shipped, and in what order.

When I ordered my r2 back in Dec. 2010 it took over 3 weeks, and that was top of the line except I only got 1 SSD drive.

Wow... that's pretty irritating for those of us that ordered quite a bit earlier. :/ Congrats for you though. :)

How do you get ahold of a customer support specialist? The only reps I get are clueless.

When the M18x comes out, I will buy that and sell my r2.
I hope the m18x will be better thought out , r2 has to much fan noise, time will tell.

I sell the Euro on the futures markets. :D

If you maxed out a system then you probably ordered more parts other people aren't, so that could def explain the speedy delivery.

That sucks for you.. guess I got kinda lucky.

Ordered on 4/11 and it was delivered yesterday when the estimated date showed 5/5. It kinda sucks because I will not be back to the States to pick it up until the 6th and am really hoping there's no problems with it now as I won't have the full 21 days to make sure everything is OK. My only upgrades were the 2720, 8gb RAM, and 750gb HDD.

    Best of luck to you!
