    Hey all,

I owned in the past a M17x R1 and I know that I couldn't use Dual DVI screen (my 30 inch - Dell 3007 didn't work with it).
Is it the same with the M17x R2?

Thanks for your help anyone :)

You may be able to grab an active displayport-HDMI adapter (similar to what ACHlLLES linked to) on ebay for cheaper. I got mine for $45.

No display port, at least not on mines. Display port wasn't available until after 3008 was released. Maybe later versions of the 3007 might, but I doubt it.

Like the guy said, it has to be an ACTIVE display port. Plain old dual dvi to display will not let you use the monitor at it's native resolution. It will only display at 800x600.

Thanks for all your answers :).
I readed the comments about the dell active converter... It seems that there is a new model without USB and without screen flickering (it seems that sometime the adapter doesn't work for some reasons...).
Anyone knows what other choice I have except the Dell version?

With the Dell you can at least return it if it doesn't work.
Ebay also has some active dual dvi models, but they all use the USB port for additional power.

True about ebay, if the one I bought on ebay doesn't work then I'm back to buying the Dell one anyway.

The USB thing isn't bad, there are many power adapters that have USB output. I've used them many times for USB coolers so that they don't rob power from the laptop and plug up a port.
