did anyone order the dell 5870s (with CF connector) from Dell US so as to replace the 4870s? well i did. i ordered on 1st of July and still in production with the EDD going back every three days thus threatening me that if i dont call to keep the order alive they will cancel it.

    so my questions here are:

    1) why they delay the 5870s order while they ship new machines with them immediately?
    2) how much more shall it take?
    3) why this unacceptable behaviour when it comes to 5870s order as spare parts and why should they threaten me?
    4) what can i do to finally get them. i know many of you got them in a few days time

Ok it seems i will reply to my question. Dell reps say they have shortage of parts and they give the existing ones for repairing machines. Well i wouldnt call it shortage but giving priority to new machines. in other words anyone who is going to order Dell 5870s as new spare parts then he wont ever get them, at least for the time being. Well thats crap!!

Of course till they decide to give them as new parts, new machines will come out and they will lose the extra cash. but i forgot they have them available for purchase even though they know they will never ship them. they gain money from this story even if your patience ends and cancel the order. Thats what they call customer support.

it's been like this ever since they released 3 months ago and I wouldn't expect 'supply' to be available for a long time. They *are* special low voltage samples after all.
