Hi, I just recently bought an m17xr3, with the 6990m graphics card, and I was wondering if I should keep my dell drivers or download the ones from the AMD site, from what I have seen online the information says that I should remove the dells and keep the AMD ones, but I wanted to know if that would have any negative consequences on my m17xr3 system, such as voiding the warranty or affecting integrated graphics. The dell drivers were good I though untill I started the witcher 2 and got only 15-25 fps on low. Thanks for any help

You have to use the Dell drivers to enable the IGP switching capability, but you can then download and install the AMD reference drivers (now Cat 11.8) over the Dell set. So far, the Cat 11.7 or 11.8 drivers (over the Dell drivers) seem to offer the best performance with the 6990M, BYMMV.
