Hello, I am using the dell's drivers and downloads, it scans my PC and it suggests me to download drivers that I have already downloaded and installed since March.

For example it suggests me to update the BIOS and the recommended version is:

    Voyager MLK(M17R4) BIOS A11
    (BIOS)
    21/2/2013

which of course I have installed (flashed) on March. AlienAutospy confirms me as it shows

    Bios version string A11

So what to do now? Watch for updates after my last visit and install only them or is there a wordaround so dell really scans my system to recommend me only the applicable updates?

    Thanks

You can just manually browse the updates. All's you do is enter your service tag in the box instead of telling the website to scan for your info. Then in will come up with all the drivers and updates for the R4, not just the ones it thinks you needs.

As for your BIOS, if you're unsure what version you've got, go to Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Information. It will bring up a window will all your system info on it. The BIOS version will be listed about half way down the page. I would recommend you not mess with the BIOS unless something in your system is not working correctly, or Dell releases a BIOS update and marks it critical because it fixes something that is super important.

Yeah, it can be a bit confusing. When it scans your machine all it does is identify the hardware, not the driver versions in use, so it just shows the latest drivers even if you already have them ;) . Use the 'show last 30 days' option to see only recent updates but there is no automated way to keep them up-to-date :(
