i saw the tutorial.. im not tech saavy in that department at all. also dont have any screws for the new card I don't think LOL.

Just use your old screws, it should work just fine. Also, depending on which GPU you have and are upgrading to, make sure you have a proper heat sink.

You're only going to feel ripped off if you did it yourself and there were no issues, there are many different outcomes than that one -

No thermal paste is understandable, but what was so hard about the guide? It's step by step, with everything highlighted.
