This thread is somewhat a continuation of my previous one
I called dell and after 4 calls they finally sent someone out with a new motherboard for the laptop. The technician replaced the motherboard, but he also 1. Damaged something on the left side of the chassis, the left siding won't stay on the laptop all the way now 2. Gouged a chunk with a screwdriver(?) on the molding around the keyboard 3. Somehow broke the keyboard around the arrow section so it's more recessed and doesn't give any tactile feedback, it just feels flat 4. When he was prying the sides of he managed to scratch the chassis in a couple locations.
He also didn't even fix the webcam issue.
I figured I'd had enough and I'd just send it back to newegg (who I bought it from) but after a week and a half of it being shipped back to them/them finally getting around to looking at it, they say nothing is wrong and they're sending it back. I can't even get my money back because of the damage the dell tech did to the laptop.
Is there someone special I can contact about getting this resolved? I'm nearing my wits end at dealing with this laptop. Should I just call the standard tech support people?
TLDR: Dell tech damaged brand new, expensive (for me) laptop, sent it back to newegg, they refuse to take it back and the webcam is still going to be broken, what can I do now?

Get in touch with one of the Alienware reps here in the forum. Tell them about all the hell you went thru. They will bend over backwards to get everything resolved. As for repair, there aren't too many great options out there. Depot service or at-home repair by a tech. Depot service is notorious for sending the laptops back in worse condition than what they were sent in at. But the tech firms Dell/AW contract out to have no formal training on our Alienware systems and tend to damage them as well as put them back together so poorly that our notebook won't even boot up after service. Its the choice between the two evils. Good thing is Alienware will help you with all this. I love having them in these forums. So much better than calling the normal Dell reps in India.
