I just received my m17xR3 today. I ordered the 3D bundle, everything is basic setting, I upgraded to 3 years warranty.

I found a few strange things, my laptop has some minor scratch on the shinny bits of the speaker, dust inside the screen, minor scratch on the lid. The most strange thing is Dell website cannot find my service tag number, I tried to type in manually, but Dell said my service tag number is invalid........

Has anyone who ordered the m17xR3 has the similar problem?

It might take a while for your info/warranty to be updated with Dell. you can call them directly and they can speed that process up.

Samething happened to me with my R2, just call tech support and they will resolve it with the service tag department.

Same with my 15x last year...was about a month after I received it before I could use the auto finder on the Dell service site...

Yeah, the service tag feature they use isn't the best. They don't seem all that committed to tracking it well, as my R2 was exactly as your R3 and others' R2s; the service tag never seemed to work/be recognized. When I called a tech at one point he didn't have it in his system either. It didn't end up mattering, as long as you know all your specs, but it is a little inconvenient that they provide it but it doesn't really work right.
