I've phoned in numerous times inquiring about the 580m/6990m, and all they've said is that the only card available for purchase separately is the 6970m....

I wanted to pull the trigger on the 6990m (because I don't think my wallet would like me to get the 580m) but they won't give it to me!!!

I've called several times over the past few weeks and they won't give it to me!!! I'm also getting a little sick of this 460m........

My guess they have very limited stock and want to reserve them for laptop purchases.

A couple people on NBR are selling Clevo cards which should work in the R3 just fine.

I would just overclock your 6970m to 820/1100 until such a time as you can get a 6990m. Honestly I cannot tell much difference between the two gaming, they are both very powerful.

Are you trying to get a replacement? Or are you buying new? I don't get why Dell would "not give it to you" lol..

I am just trying to get something to 'replace' my 460m. They are saying the only card that can be purchased separately is the 6970m........... While other users on this forum were able to purchase the 580m and 6990m
