I've been.playing this diablo 3 and watching the cpu and gpu monitoring programs and I notice that the cpu on all 4 cores never rises over 12% load.

The gpu Is running at 98 99% load, but doesn't seem to make a difference on the grafix setting between low or high. It runs at 99%.

The game doesn't lag at high setting either, at least that I notice.

Anyways would the cpu be using more "load" I never seen it really over 20%

I read about locking it to a single core, but do games make use of multicore, or just single?

Sounds fine to me, if it works fine why are you worried?

Its more of just making sure its running as smoothly or clearly as it can.

I have been reading bits and pieces of how some games take advantage of quad cores, or how some games run better on a single core with the turbo boost.

All modern games are going to be fine on their own. If you play some old games, there might be some adjustments, but in general nothing is needed. If you don't have a problem then it is probably fine, if anything is wrong you will notice problems and can solve them.

Most games are optimized to run on a single thread. Newer games such as Battlefield 3, can take advantage of multiple cores (I believe). We will see more optimized games and maybe even some that can take advantage of more than 4 gigs of ram soon. ;)
